Favorite Experience

One of my favorite experiences was on the last week of me teaching at the school. The students had surprised me and Nicole with a dance that they have been rehearsing. The danced for us as a class and also recited some “thank you” letters and how much they were going to miss us. The hardest part of my internship was definitely the lack of Spanish I knew. It was sometimes hard to give a lecture with my Spanish. But it seemed to be very amusing to the other students.

Internship

This summer i spent two long months in Panama with an organzation called Amigos de las Americas. In Panama, i taught at an elementary school three days a week. I got to spend two and half hours with the kids each day. We did lectures and played games about nutrition and conservation. I had to come up with new ideas and ways to get the kids involved but that definately wasn't the hardest thing. I had to do all of this in spanish.
